Yellow Belle

Aspitates (Napuca) ochrearia

Description:

A species of moth in the Geometridae family. The wingspan is 25-34 mm. Adults are on wing from April to June and again from August to September in two generations per year. The larvae feed on various herbaceous plants, including Daucas carota and Plantago coronopus. The larvae can be found from April to June. The species overwinters in the larval stage. Pupation takes place in spring.

Habitat:

It is found in western and southern Europe, as well as North America.
