Description:

Unknown species of Cup Fungi spotted near Hossawa Fall in Tokyo Prefecture, Japan. This fungus was growing on the trail floor, presumably on decomposing leaves and/or sticks.

Most fungi in the genus peziza is found in Europe and the Americas, though there are still high possibilities of it being found in Japan.
