Thank you for the suggestion jgorneau. The markings are very similar to timais but not the same ....

Got all excited thinking I'd worked out an ident for myself, but did'nt notice the fact that these don't have hairs/spikes. I'm learning every day.

Nice link between organisms Viv. Hope someone can ID these jazzy little fellows! I've still got quite a few unIDed Thai caterpillars. I wonder if there are any good reference books on the subject? I remember seeing a multi-volume work on Butterflies of Thailand in the English language section of a bookshop in Chiang Mai, but don't remember if caterpillars were featured.
