Description:

Height: 85cm Wingspan: about 2m Weight: 3 to 5 kg Is the second larger vulture in South America. Condor is the larger.

Habitat:

Found in all Brazilian habitats. In Minas Gerais is found mainly in mountainous areas.

Notes:

The bird perched presents caracteristic immature plumage for this species. The bird was located next to a waterfall and allowed me a great approximation.
