Project Noah Nature School
Feather moss - poss. feather moss, maybe knight's plume? Each feather approx 7-10cm long. Dark green.
Growing with ferns and oak at the top of an old limestone quarry.
Btw, my money would be on Thuidium tamariscinum, Common Tamarisk-moss. http://www.bbsfieldguide.org.uk/content/...Whatever it is, it's a gorgeous plant!
I was going to recommend this excellent guide (only about £25 and packed with great photos for every species) but it turns out they've started to make it available online: http://www.bbsfieldguide.org.uk/
