Marsh Harrier

Circus aeruginosus

Description:

These birds hunt for food over marshes and will take small birds and wildfowl, small mammals and frogs. At first we thought it had taken a Stonechat from a tree but it may have taken a small duck from the flock it flew through just after.

Habitat:

Coastal marshes
