A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Tringa flavipes
It is a medium-sized shorebird. These birds forage in shallow water, sometimes using their bill to stir up the water. They mainly eat insects, small fish and crustaceans.
Their breeding habitat is clearings near ponds. They nest on the ground, usually in open dry locations.
Photos are cropped because I only had my macro 100mm (I was waiting to see a lot of insects, but saw nothing)
