Hawfinch (Female)

Coccothraustes coccothraustes

Description:

The Hawfinch, Coccothraustes coccothraustes, is a passerine bird in the finch family Fringillidae. This bird breeds across Europe and temperate Asia. It is mainly resident in Europe, but many Asian birds migrate further south in the winter.

Habitat:

My parents garden, Münster, Germany.

Notes:

It is the first time I saw one in our garden. Unfortenately I only have a camera with a small objective here, so it's not a good picture.
