Milkweed Bug. They do have a correct name, they are large, 25 mm long (one inch).

Habitat:

Flowering plant in a pine forest at 2,300 m asl.

Certainly an Oncopeltus sp., but not the famous Oncopeltus fasciatus. The markings are different. Very similar ones are Oncopeltus cayensis and Oncopeltus sexmaculatus (with, however, a white spot) and Oncopeltus guttas/gutta.

Unfortunately I did not find a perfect match concerning the red spot on the head, missing white spot and shape of the yellow patches.
