European Wool Carder Bee

Anthidium manicatum

Description:

This is a non-native species to North America. This European bee was found in Pennsylvania in 1995 & has since migrated to other states. The males are highly aggressive and may have a negative impact on native Anthidium species & native plants they pollinate.

Habitat:

Throughout the northeast U.S. Garden flowers, weeds, preferably blue flowers. Spotted on Stokes’ Aster (Stokesia laevis)

i have been talking about other spots whith invasive animals(like your bee)and plants also,and the feelling i have it seems to correct,bigger the country bigger the problem:-\
