Anthidium manicatum
This is a non-native species to North America. This European bee was found in Pennsylvania in 1995 & has since migrated to other states. The males are highly aggressive and may have a negative impact on native Anthidium species & native plants they pollinate.
Throughout the northeast U.S. Garden flowers, weeds, preferably blue flowers. Spotted on Stokes’ Aster (Stokesia laevis)
