Phoebis argante

Description:

The genus Phoebis comprises 8 species, most of which are strongly migratory in behaviour, and are widely distributed in the neotropical region, although avellaneda is found only in Cuba, editha is restricted to Haiti, and bourkei occurs only in Ecuador. Phoebis argante is found from Mexico to Uruguay, and also occurs on most of the larger islands of the Caribbean, including Jamaica, Hispaniola and Cuba.

Oh that is great news Ismael. I saw 3 similar orange/yellow sulphurs here. Unbelievable. It is nearly December here in the hills of PA. But very mild temps bring these hardy and beautiful butterflies out in the sun. Your photo is extra great because of its position on the leaf. Not luck... good spotting skills. HA!
