Evidence of Woodpecker?

Description:

Thought this would fit the signs of wildlife mission nicely; it's a piece of bark I found on a hike littered with many small holes 2-3 centimeters in diameter, which to my best guess can only lead to some species of woodpecker.

Notes:

On the third picture, you can see multiple smaller holes in a cluster. Could these be of premature woodpeckers (I have very little knowledge of birds)?
