Cream-coloured courser

Cursorius cursor

Description:

It wasn't very abundant on the island and this was the only specimen I managed to photograph close enough. I never saw it fly as it prefers to run away from danger. It is pretty big seeing the rest of the bird fauna of the island.

Habitat:

a small river near a beach surrounded by rocky desert
