I was told this plant is an iris, yet I'm not sure about the species. You're invited to let me know it if you're familiar with this plant.
This picture was shot a while ago, and thus I may be mistaken, but I think this plant has a rhizome.

Lovely! It is a bearded iris but I couldn't tell you which cultivar.
