This reef fish, which grows to about 3.5cm, is also known as Fo Cardinalfish, Samoan Cardinalfish and Samoan Fo.
Found singly or in small groups in sheltered areas of reefs among seagrass, weedy areas, sand and rubble reefs. Widespread in the Indo-Pacific region.
