Habitat:

They are found in open landscapes throughout North and South America. Burrowing Owls can be found in grasslands, range-lands, agricultural areas, deserts, or any other open dry area with low vegetation.

He was spotted near the Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve in Cape Coral, FL. The burrowing owls are quite numerous in Cape Coral because of the acres of cleared lots available for nesting.
