Tortoise leaf beetle eggs

Paropsis atomaria

Description:

This pic shows the beetle laying her eggs Two species of leaf beetle eggs on the same leaf. The pic#3 compares the two adult beetles

Notes:

Tortoise beetle #2b These two beetles are recorded to for size comparison and the other pic is their two types of eggs. The top (and left) beetle connects with the bottom egg type. I have never seen them together on the same leaf. I'm not sure if this is unusual. I don't like spotting two species together. these are and Paropsisterna and Paropsis atomaria.

Thanks Shanna, thanks Arlanda, thanks Pamsai.
P. atomaria is a common summer beetle and have the most comical eggs of all, and so distinctive.
