Spotted Sandpiper

Actitis macularia

Description:

Tiny little bird running along the shore of Lake Hodges searching for food.

Habitat:

Spotted on a hiking trail by Lake Hodges between Rancho Bernardo and Escondido.

Notes:

I cropped the image as much as I could without it becoming too blurry! The first and second image will help with the ID. The third gives a slight size comparison with the bird to my sister's arm. The final picture shows the bird in flight.
