Description:

15" - 18" toucan. Males have slightly longer bills than females.

Habitat:

Common, and widespread in Peruvian Amazon. This picture was taken in the Loreto district of Peru near Iquitos.

Notes:

The call, a series of descending squawks, can be heard over great distances.
