A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Melopsittacus undulatus
A small parrot, often kept as house pets. Can come in different patterns in domestication. The pets in the photos are lime green, with a darker green underbelly and stripes, and blue with a white head. Both have black speckles. This species is capable of imitating human speech.
Not the wildtype, domesticated strains.

Hi Alexander, I've moved these beauties to the Pets category for you.
Thanks for the comments! They also preen you occasionally. :D
They can say entire sentences, the ones that learn to talk, is amazing!... Do yours talk? the green is a male and the blue is a female (or a very young one), are they a couple?
Nice addition :-)
Hi Alexander...
These little birds are not really tropical but come from the dry grasslands at the edge of Australias deserts. Here's the link in Wikipedia...

They make really good pets and many owners let them fly all around their house.
