Description:

This very tiny moss was growing up and out of what looked to be holes made by wood boring beetle larvae on the fallen trunk of a tree. The fingers of moss grew upwards and then spread out over the trunk in all directions.

Habitat:

Pine-Oak forest several kilometers north of San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
