Our cat caught this guy, my husband saved him and took him to a safer place! He did manage to get a bite before releasing him!

The fact it was biting is a good sign (obviously not for your husband!) It means he hasn't gone into shock.
Good job on the rescue! It looks angry! LOL! But, it also looks healthy!
