Thanks for the comment! I agree! This was a youngster that was still learning to hunt, and was still being fed by Mom & Dad...they would drop food to him...and while he waited, he would perch on this bridge...obviously not very nervous at all!!

I was VERY close...and used a 270 zoom...there is a nest close to where I volunteer (at a birds of prey rehab center to boot!) and this was one of the babies...he's fully fledged but mom & dad still dropped food for him, and he hung out on all the different posts around us. For this, he was sitting on the side of a bridge...I drove up to him and he didn't budge!!! I stayed in my car though...he just looked at me!! Babies!!! Not the smartest cookies in the jar, huh? At least the parents hang with them and do some teaching!!!

Germaine, I agree...you don't have to go very far to see some neat wildlife!
I've seen many of those. That's the best reason to live in Colorado , the wildlife you can see even in the city of Denver!
