Male blue bird with gray belly and red on breast and top of wings. They can be distinguished from other Bluebirds as follows: The Western Bluebird which has a blue throat, the Eastern Bluebird has an orange throat, and the Mountain Bluebird lacks orange color anywhere on its body. Near and on California Pepper Tree at Lake Dixon park.
They compete with Starlings and Swallows for nesting sites such as nest boxes or cavities.
