Vanellus chilensis

Description:

Quero-quero (Vanellus chilensis), also known as Tetéu were amazing and cattle. It is a bird of the order Charadriiformes, belonging to the family of Charadriidae. Very popular in Brazil, lives in marshes and pastures, is seen on roads, football fields and near farms, often far from water. His name is an onomatopoeia of his song.

Habitat:

It is a typical bird of South America, being found from Argentina and eastern Bolivia to the right edge of the lower Amazon and especially in Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. Inhabits large wet meadows and sprawling rivers and lakes.
