The White-browed Sparrow-Weaver is characterized by a broad, white eyebrow stripe. The male’s bill is black and the female's horn-coloured.
Acacia savannah and dry woodland. Spotted here in parkland, Nairobi. Distribution: central and northcentral southern Africa. Range is expanding on the southern, northern, and eastern fronts.
White-browed Sparrow-Weavers are active at nest-building year-round. They build the typical weaver inverted-U-shaped nests of dry grass.
