Description:

Also known as Yellowtail Blenny, Flame-ail Blenny, Sailfin Blenny, Black Blenny. Colors vary from yellow to dark with yellow tail or a pale-colored tail. They feed on algae from dead coral bases, and grow to about 10cm in length.

Habitat:

Found singly on clear water reef crests and slopes and in outer lagoons with coral bommies. These are territorial fish, found at depths of 0 to 30m. Widespread in the Asia-Pacific region.
