Western Pipistrelle

Pipistrellus hesperus

Description:

Bat at Lake Powell

Notes:

He was just sitting in the sunlight on a trail to an arch. I spotted him and checked to see if he was alive. He was very docile. I got him to attach to a stick so I could put him in the shade of an overhang right when a million people were getting off a tour boat. I was swarmed with camera toting tourists. It was awesome.
