A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Bubo virginianus
Great Horned Owl. Caught it winking at us. Mid-morning, probably it was just sleepy.
Perched on a cottonwood limb in a Willow-Cottonwood riparian gallery forest, very close the Rio Grande in Albuquerque's south valley.
Weather was clear and warm, no wind.
