Gyps fulvus
This seemed to be free flying and quite tame. seemed to be after food which was being used as "praises" for the eagle. There were several animals present as well but we were unable to ascertain the precise nature of the centre.

ok, thanks, I asked about some falcony centres or cetres of recuperation of birds in this place for to know if this centre is legal.
The centre is in the waste ground between the river and the town. It was just a fenced compound full of bushes and trees with some wooden huts and the animals and birds inside and outside, two flags at the entrance but no writing that i saw.
Alvaro, perhaps you can do an internet search for the centre and find out more information, there is a lot there in Spanish, but I could not even determine if it was the same place. I think they might have only recently moved there. My map pin will show you the right location.
yes, in Valencia they speak spanish and valenciano... I think that it be born in cautivated in a association of falconry, but it if were so the vulture should in his tarsus a metalic ring. you know the name of the falconry centre?
Another beautiful bird with a sad story...nice shots though...
Never had the chance to get that close to one on the ground before, and probably won't again.
Alvaro, we tried communicating with the people there but they didn't understand us much and we didn't understand them much, perhaps there 's a difference in the accents between Valencia and Isla Cristina!
This is a young griffon vulture, it born the past summer. Why it is in the centre? you know?
What a beautiful bird! I love the neck ruff in the first pic, you can see all the details in the feathers, all going every which way! Nice series :)
