(Female) Wood Duck

Description:

This female duck is a small sized perching duck which likes to be up in trees. She's smaller than the male, is brown with white around the eyes and throat, mottled chest and colorful feathers on the wing. She has a crested head of brown feathers. the females utter a drawn-out, rising squeal, "oo-eek. The last two images show her with the male. Habitat:

This is our pet but they're found here in the area year round. She nests in holes in trees so she's up off of the ground.
