Eriophora pustulosa
A chocolate brown hairy spider hiding in a clump of Acacia seed pods. Body is 12 mm. This specimen is more brown that those we normally see.
Spider #11
And the martinl spider found its correct name too. The joy of a systematic taxonomist, like Adam, is to name each creature. It's a truly rare feat to actually get to name one yourself.
Yep that works martin. Pity I can't call it the Orangutan spider any more.
Here is a good match for this variable spider.

Pic 6 sure is good - slight lack of hair on top of the abdomen but the rest is a fit.
If this garden orb was chocolate colored, it would be a very close match. The abdomen is bumpy and pitted in both. The two eyes on a mound is the same. The sitting in a curled leaf with legs forward... hmmm Pic #6 got me. What do you think??? http://www.terrain.net.nz/friends-of-te-...
Lovely rich colour - body looks like a crab spider but they don't appear to hold their front legs close and pointing out front...challenging ! - looks like a tangled web spider
Yeah, its not that close a match =( but I did find the knot mimic:-) Dolophones, http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/826... if that's the one u mean.
Not so much chocolate furriness on that one?
Acroaspis is also that knot mimic branch spider isn't it?
I've seen a spider with a spider body shape (and hairiness) in the US. I'm still not sure what species it is, but when I find out I'll let you know. Maybe that will help nail this one down.
