Description:

Yellow bill, yellow feet and yellow orbital ring are conspicuous. A large dark pigeon (40 cm) with a pale head and white speckles on breast and feathers

Habitat:

Where trees are fruiting, also in suburban gardens. Mostly in montane regions, evergreen forests and exotic plantations. Goes to roost early, sunning itself conspicuously on tree-tops in late afternoon.

Notes:

Apparently flies considerable distances daily to food source. Loves figs and berries. The photo of this one was taken quite late the afternoon in a suburban garden.
