Australian King Parrot (juvenile male)

Alisterus scapularis scapularis

Description:

This beautiful young male did have adults around but I never so them together. He is so close to having his adult plumage. He has the green back and wings with a red breast, belly and nearly fully red head.

Habitat:

Flying amongst the trees along the creek bank in the park at Nanango, QLD. The park has a small creek running parallel-ish to the road which kind of borders it from a private paddock.
