Desert wadis in the high mountain region of St. Katherine's, Sinai.

Locally in Sinai, the milky sap is used medicinally to treat warts.

I've never had to use it personally for warts, but the local Bedouin are well-known for their traditional (herbal) medicine, so if they say it works, I trust them. However, if the sap reaches the blood vessels or mouth, it can be deadly. So it should be used with care.
