Palm

Description:

Palm tree but the top shows multiple branches and leaves which are not the usual fronds. Epiphytes perhaps? But the branching is peculiar.

Habitat:

Near the mud volacno on Baratang island.

Notes:

When I stopped suddenly and pointed my camera at this tree, a lady passing me commented. "It was struck by thunder. That is why the top is like that."I do not know if her observation is correct.
