If possible, when you photograph a track, include something that enables us to measure it. A ruler is best, but even a common item like a quarter coin is better than nothing.
There are less than 200 red wolves in the wild today, and they are way on the east coast. Coyotes can be easily mistaken for red wolves. Especially since this was in a national park, it is likely someone's pet dog that they took for a hike.
Well I know they say red wolves aren't here but I've seen them personally. So not sure I take stock in what the net says. I know they also say mountain lions aren't here either and I've seen those as well.
