Bald Eagle

Haliaeetus leucocephalus

Description:

The American Bald Eagle is a sea eagle with a white head, yellow beak and dark brown underside.

Habitat:

The Bald Eagle commonly makes its nest in tall trees along the banks of bodies of water where it can easily search for and capture fish.

Notes:

It was still a bit early in the season to catch much action at Elk Forest, but I was lucky enough to catch this eagle passing overhead, and got a few shots off. These were the 2 best.
