Salmon Sun-orchid

Description:

Mostly buds at present with only a couple open. The flowers were a dusky pink with little difference between sepals and petals. Visible is the yellow tip of the mid lobe of column. The buds were egg shaped on darker stout stalks. Leaves were narrow, channeled with reddish base (no photo). Plant about 40 cm tall.

Habitat:

Spotted in a sclerophyll forest with silver stringy bark and native shrubs.

Notes:

These are just about to bloom. Hopefully i will get some better shots soon. Flowers open on warm days.
