I hear you - I always leave my camera behind when I need it most. We spotted an egret at The Pool as well. That's a great little corner of Central Park.

They just banned this species as a pet last fall in Maine.

They like to hide out in the blossoms of brightly colored flowers and wait for bees and flies.

Is the flower on a woody bush? Those leaves look like it might be a camellia.
