Rock Pigeons come in so many variations. I've seen blue scorpions.
If the spider was getting extremely close to an ant nest then it could be an Ant Mimic Spider.
After looking on Wikipedia, there is no information on the pigeon.
By its body shape it probably not a relative of Flamingo.
It looks like it is in a tank.
The fly species you saw was a goldenrod gall fly. Its Latin name is Eurosta solidaginis. There is more information at Bugguied.net
Older box fish have duller colors than younger ones.
It hasn't matured yet. That small mushroom would be hard to notice if it weren't for its bright colors!
