Beautiful little snakes!
Wow, what a beautiful bird. So sad that, like so many of our beautiful animals, it's listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List due to loss of habitat.
Great find, they are hard to spot. I think it's a Glaucus atlanticus - it has the long tail, which G. marginatus doesn't have. Some examples - here is a G. marginatus I spotted (it has the old scientific name on it - I will update): http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/172... and here is a G. atlanticus that Scott Harte spotted: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/173...
Nice shot, Neil, it didn't look anywhere near as colourful in real life!
Pam, I was really surprised when I zoomed in on my shots and saw the pupa. You think it belonged to one of them? Nath and I were looking at it and neither of us had any idea what to make of it.
Oh, nice shot Pam. I'm not sure that I have one better than this! :)
Oh wow, really nice. I've seen pink and white ones here in SE Qld but never a blue one.
