A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
My husband Nathan (NathBig) and I are keen wildlife spotters! We also rescue and rehabilitate native reptiles.

OMG! I was going to ask if it was still alive but you've answered that further down. Scary and macabre, nonetheless.
Thanks Neil. I got stung by a bluebottle once but it didn't affect me too badly - I think I was just lucky! Mostly, as a born and bred inlander, I just avoid bluebottle stings by staying well out of the water... ; ) I feel really lucky to have found these slugs when we did, I haven't seen them since... I'm desperate to find a Glaucus atlanticus too, but no luck. Actually that's what I was hoping to find the afternoon a couple of weeks ago when I came across that baby turtle!!!
Thanks KD. I got some awesome shots of a bunch of them at Roma, I just haven't got around to uploading them yet. They really are such characters!!
Congrats Nuwan. I have only seen these as tiny babies in a zoo.
Nice. I think I like the second shot the best - you can see the red rump. : ) That's a beautiful female though, she's so ashy-looking.
Is that the same one that you posted as a baby a couple of months ago? How fast do they grow?
