Thank you! We are surveying the same sites daily for spotted salamander reproduction, so I am getting to watch the embryos as they grow. It is amazing and beautiful and I can't wait until they hatch!

Yeah, unfortunately I did not get the GPS coordinates of many of the sites I visited in Belize, and the Map Search rarely picks up on those small islands. I think the location is pretty close now.

Holy cow, that is one adorable snake! I may be partial to snakes but, I think that eyes of that proportion can make anything look way too cute for it's own good..

Nice spot, Karen! I love spadefoot toads. In my experience, they are one of the hardest anuran species to find (in GA, anyway). Also, they have one of my favorite calls :)
