I forgot the name for a minute, but it's orange mycena or mycena leaiana
These were covering the banks by the roadside on beury mountain above the town of Thurmond, west Virginia.
I said praecox for sure, but after reading some more about the various agrocybes, I'm not sure. I'm going to look at a few more tomorrow. Maybe even agrocybe dura? I did notice some older ones that had cracked caps.
Agrocybe praecox for sure.
It does have a rusty brown spore print and an umbo that's slightly darker than the cap. When young the cap was slightly wrinkled in the center.
