Spider

Oxyopes kohaensis

Description:

To me it looks like a Lynx spider of some kind...the legs in particular. Elongated body with attractive stripes and dots.

Habitat:

Hotel grounds at JSW Township Vidyanagar near Hampi, Karnataka, India.

Notes:

We were here for three whole days and during that time the spider did not budge from where it was the first day that I saw it. My brother-in-law just pointed out that the poor spider seems to be on its last few legs (just four out of eight)...is that why it did not move? Or is it guarding the eggs?
