Land Snail

Description:

Roughly 2 cm in diameter. Black body, brown shell with 5 whorls, with lighter tan rectangles and triangles in the outermost section of the shell. Many of them found along the dirt and rock wall of a forest hill in Tennessee.

Notes:

Apparently researching snails is *hard*. Unlike the birds and insects I'm usually looking up, there are no easy guides for snails. I'd really love it if anyone could tell me what kind of snail this is. Thanks!
