Funnel Web Spider

Description:

Small spider, about 5 cm from leg-tip to leg-tip. Bands of brownish-red and black on the legs. Funnel web spider.

Habitat:

Bledsoe Creek State Park, Sumner County, Tennessee

Notes:

I saw a fairly large number of these in the forest, all on funnel webs. I thought it was a running crab spider, but one resource I found said that running crabs don't spin webs (they just wait for prey to wander by and grab it.) Can someone help? Thanks!
