Thinopteryx crocoptera striolata
Moderate climate, spring time, wet soil, flowering trees.
Why? It is still Thinopteryx crocoptera. The links for Nebulosa were still for comparison.
Here are some links for Nebulosa:

I would just note: Thinopteryx crocoptera.
Thanks Nopayahnah.
bayucca I couldn't find any link to nebulosa species but you are right, Japan is too far for striolata to be found here. And I have not seen the other sex here so I can't say anything about sexual dimorphism.
Striolata is the subspecies from Japan. In my eyes a little bit too far away from your spottings. I would just note the species name. Another species would be Th. nebulosa, which looks quite different to yours. Maybe the spots on the forewing are part of a sexual dismorphism??
yes Harsha.. This Moth is common in North India and Malayan region.. Subspecies formed as per colour combination..
Thanks bayucca and Ashish. It looks a little different in the pattern on the wings though.
