That's great to hear and I will ask about spots if I ever visit.

I visited Phoenix about six years ago for a business conference, but did not have much time to spend birding. I did spend one afternoon in the Desert near Glendale. I never realized how beautiful the desert can be. If you ever get over to the Georgia-South Carolina border, let me know. I have some good public spots for birds, odes, and butterflies.

I'm in California right now and I saw an American Goldfinch in LA county for the first time and added several species to my San Bernardino list including a Costa's Hunmer.

You have an extensive collection of spottings, but this Mountain Chickadee was one of the more interesting species to me. We just do not get these in the southeast. Thanks for suggesting that I add the scientific name to my ring-necked ducks. I fixed the oversight. Here is hoping more good spottings come your way.
